Basketball

Plymouth College is the only British Independent School to partner with a professional British Basketball League Club.

Photo of Raiders U18 Player on the Basket Ball CourtPupils will be coached by top quality professional basketball coaches and there will be numerous opportunities for all of our pupils to play basketball and compete in fixtures against other teams. For exceptional basketballers there may even be the opportunity to compete for the Plymouth Raiders Development Regional and National League sides.

Plymouth Raiders were formed in 1983 and the team compete in the British Basketball League (BBL), the country’s premier professional basketball competition. The Raiders operate men and women’s local, regional and national junior teams from the age of 10 to senior level.

As part of the basketball programme, pupils have access to:

  • Be coached by top quality professional basketball coaches
  • Access to multiple weekly playing and competing opportunities
