Progression from Prepatory to Senior School

Through the stimulating and enriching education provided at Plymouth College Prep School, we ensure that our pupils are fully prepared and excited to progress to secondary school. Whilst the majority of our pupils transfer to Plymouth College Senior School, many securing scholarships in different areas, taking advantage of taster days, visits and information evenings provided, several pupils will attend other local schools and do very well in the 11+ examinations.

A combination of academic knowledge, a positive attitude, inner confidence, enrichment and social experiences allow our pupils to hit the ground running, and we take great pride in knowing that we have fully prepared them for the next stage of their academic career.

For those who move on to the Senior School at the age of 11, Year 7 marks the start of their exciting journey through the school, taking advantage of the fantastic opportunities available to them as they are prepared for future examinations, including GCSEs and A-Levels, and their lives beyond Plymouth College.
