Meet Our Heads of School 2021

We are pleased to introduce you to this year's Heads of School. Sophie Watson, Abagael Black, Rocky Dutta and Lex Irish are looking forward to taking up their positions this year.

Sophie, Head Girl, has been at Plymouth College since Year 7. Sophie is passionate about singing, hockey and netball and studies Chemistry, History and Psychology. 'Being Head Girl is an amazing opportunity and I’m excited about making a difference and working together with the other Heads of School to make our ideas to improve the School and its community a reality'.

Rocky, our Head Boy, 'feels honoured to be given the opportunity to be this year’s Head Boy', especially after the exciting move of the Prep school; 'It feels great to be part of a new era in the School’s history'. Alongside studying for A Levels in Maths, Chemistry, Biology and History; Rocky is in the First XV rugby team and throws himself into a wide number extracurricular activities. One of the areas Rocky is most looking forward to being involved in is the new mentorship program which he believes will be a huge asset to the holistic education provided at Plymouth College.

Abagael, our Deputy Head Girl, is at the end of a very happy Plymouth College journey having started in Nursery. Abagael is 'delighted to be able to return the experiences and opportunities that I have been given throughout my time here'. Abagael is taking A Levels in Maths, Chemistry and Physics alongside a fencing BTEC. When not in lessons, Abagael is a long standing member of CCF and has already been granted an Army scholarship which will support her dream of studying Mechanical Engineering at University.

Lex, our Deputy Head Boy, who has been with us since Prep School has 'always believed that making most of what our school offers is something every pupil should do'. He is studying History, Economics and Maths and is involved in the School Podcast and Magazine as well as keeping busy in Performing Arts and DofE.
