We have 3 boarding options; Full Boarding, Weekly Boarding and Flexi Boarding.
Boarding places are available at Plymouth College and we welcome applications from Year 7 through to Sixth Form. As well as our UK boarders, we have more than 40 different nationalities, resulting in boarding being truly international
We offer taster days in all year groups. Where possible, we will try to find a day which offers some of the lessons that your child enjoys. Taster days are offered in the Sixth Form for students currently in Year 11 and we will try to find a day where the subjects that they would like to study for A level are being taught.
Taster sessions can be arranged for students thinking about boarding at the school and these can last for one or more nights providing there is a bed available.
Parents wishing to apply for a bursary are asked to contact our Admissions Team - [email protected] for a copy of the financial assistance policy and bursary application form.
Awards of up to 50% of the school fees can be made and it is possible for a pupil to have a combination of both scholarship and bursary. This combination will not exceed 50% of the school fees.
The transient nature of life in the armed forces makes boarding a popular option and we provide an environment that offers military children stability. The CEA (Continuity of Education Allowance) is available to all ranks and combined with our armed forces discount means that a family will typically only pay 10% of the school’s termly fees for boarding pupils.
The Forces Discount for new joiners, both day and boarding, is 20% of the termly fee. One parent must be a current serving member of the armed forces. Presentation of a valid forces identification is required each year, to maintain the discount.
