Between the 9th and 13th of July two teams of students from Plymouth College completed their Gold expedition for the Duke of Edinburgh award.
The students were, Sam Fitton, Joe Andrews, Felicity Kyte, Aimee Rudd, Harry Avens, Matt Billington, James North and Nic Caradine.
The teams planned two routes in the Lake District National Park, which included climbing mountains and wild camping over four days and three nights. The students were all self-sufficient, carrying tents, camping stoves food and all other luxuries on their backs.
The weather was typically British, but the students dealt superbly with the wind, rain, sun and bogs which were thrown at them.
