To mark 75 years since Auschwitz was liberated, Mr Carr addressed the senior school in an assembly. This year's theme, #StandTogether, was highlighted through a poignant speech focusing on remembrance and learning from the past. The social isolation of some groups in society is still very relevant today, with an alarming number of hate crimes being committed in the past year across the world. To conclude the assembly, the poem First They Came... by Martin Niemöller was read to emphasise the importance of looking out for everyone in our community and standing as a strong, untied front against prejudice.
