Children in Years 3,4,5 and 6 have held a minute's silence during their assemblies today as they paused to remember and reflect on the last year.
Led by Miss Newnham, the children were asked to think about everything they have learned during the last 12 months; from things they might have learned about themselves to things that they might now no longer take for granted. Despite this being a difficult time for many, the children were also asked to think about the things they enjoyed during lockdown; for Miss Newnham that was peace and quiet as there were hardly any cars on the road this time last year!
Some of the Year 6 children also paid tribute to our healthcare workers within the NHS as well as the teaching staff who have been a constant source of support whether they have been at school or remote learning at home.
