Prep School Activities

Our final week of home learning has certainly been busy. Not only have lessons continued as normal but we have managed to fit in World Book Day activities and started looking ahead to International Women’s next week.

Throughout these last 8 weeks home learning pupils have been truly incredible and I am hoping that the transition back to working in a classroom environment is smooth. Their enthusiasm has certainly helped teachers adapt and has made every day slightly easier for them.

I have seen many of the reception pupils in school this week and I know they have been looking at Jack and the Beanstalk. I am hoping that they enjoy looking after the beans that they are growing and they turn into something exciting!

Year 1 cannot get enough of bubbles and have decided to use it as their theme for World Book Day this year. Their Maths sheets included bubbles and they enjoyed creating bubble art using soap.

I have also been delighted that children have been keen to share videos of themselves reading books. The confidence they show when introducing it and speaking clearly shows excellent communication skills and I look forward to seeing these develop as they get older.
