My theme this week is looking at how much progress our pupils have made since being back at school since September.
Children learn so much in their Early Years and it is incredible to see the difference in their organisational skills as well as the progress they are making in areas of key learning. Their personal, social and emotional development and communication and language is constantly being enhanced and through this their understanding the world is continuously being explored.
Years 1 and 2 have been developing computer and programming skills and working collaboratively on Art projects. Year 2 are now experts at logging themselves on and have been able to code their own maze games and are now starting to make stop motion stories based on their myths and legends topic.
In Years 3 and 4 pupils have developed such stamina over the last few weeks that their teachers are delighted by the amount of work they are getting through. Even at this stage of the term, they are not letting any tiredness get in the way and have proved themselves to be reliable and helpful juniors. Their inquisitive and investigative minds are really helping in Science topics as they experiment and make sensible hypothesis and decisions.
This week in Years 5 and 6 all pupils have stood on the stage to deliver a poem in front of other pupils and teachers. This takes a huge amount of confidence and is something that many adults would feel nervous about doing.
A big well done to the progress all pupils have achieved so far this half term.
