The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) students at Plymouth College Senior School had excellent results once again from the Autumn terms session.
Poppy Vernon took 2 exams in one day, Grade 5 in Verse and Prose and Acting, gaining a mark of 90 in the Verse and Prose and 83 in Acting. Freya Waters gained a 90 in her Grade 5 Acting, with her portrayal of the monologue Vicious Circle by Nick Teed. Other high Distinctions were achieved by Rafi Rudge, James Webb, Joshua Thomas North, Izzy Courtman, Holly Rees and Georgia Trathen who passed her Grade 5 Musical Theatre with Distinction.
Preparatory School student, Theo Clancy, also achieved 92 in his first LAMDA exam. All pupils are coached by Zoe Vigus P.cert lam (Dist). The exams are fully accredited and a selection of the student’s exam pieces (who are trained in Performance genres: Acting, Public Speaking, Musical Theatre and the Performance Speaking and theory of Verse and Prose) will be performed at the Senior School Performance evening in March.
