We are delighted to hear that in addition to receiving an offer to read Modern and Medieval Languages at Robinson College, Cambridge, Zoë Lancaster (Year 13) has also been awarded a prestigious Choral Scholarship.
Applications for the Choral Scholarship are only extended to those who have received an offer to study a degree course at Robinson College. As the recipient of a Choral Scholarship, Zoë will play a leading role in her vocal section and within the Chapel Choir as a whole. In recent years the Choir has featured twice on BBC Radio 4’s Sunday Worship and Daily Service, toured Italy, Spain, Germany, Hong Kong and the Netherlands, and sung at a number of English cathedrals including Westminster Abbey and Ely Cathedral. This year the Choir is due to visit Paris for a series of prestigious concerts in some of the city’s grandest and most beautiful churches.
Zoë began singing lessons at Plymouth College in April 2020 and quickly progressed to her Grade 6 exam. She is currently preparing for her Grade 8 exam. We look forward to following Zoë on this exciting musical journey and we wish her every success with her academic studies and singing at Robinson College.
