This week has been a fun filled week with Prep School Home Learning! We've had a wonderful mixture of online and offline lessons that have been practical and exciting and we've been learning all about the Plymouth College Principle of Integrity. We've even had some house points awarded to pupils in Year 4, 5 and 6!
A Note from Miss Newnham
I thoroughly enjoyed seeing so many pupils at our assemblies this week. Years 3 and 4 pupils were so keen to tell me how much they were enjoying their lessons and whilst History appeared to focus as the favourite lesson at the moment I was pleased to hear that all other subjects also got a mention. The enthusiasm shown by these children was incredible.
I was also overwhelmed by the response and the clapping all of Years 3-6 gave to each of their friends who received awards this week. We might not be together in person but it was lovely to witness and hear the togetherness and support for each other. What a fantastic group that can celebrate everyone's successes.
I have seen some wonderful photos of home learning this week. In my own Maths lesson, we were even able to use Lego to demonstrate volume and calculate the number of blocks needed to complete a cuboid.

Year 5 and 6 Maths with Miss Newnham
Year 5 and 6 have had a lot of fun this week both in their online lessons and learning about fractions away from their computer screens by baking cakes! It's been great to see their beautiful creations and see them learning away from their computer screens.
Year 5 Science with Mrs Burnman
Year 5 have also been completing science experiments away from their screens with Mrs Burnman. In these experiments, our pupils have learnt about molecules, metals and materials. Take a look at Mrs Burnman in action:
