Plymouth College fencers, Tia Simms-Lymn and Abagael Black, have both won bronze medals at the British Youth Epee Championships.

Held at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield, Tia was competing in the U18 girls’ event and Abagael in the U14 girls.  Tia, who fences for Jamaica, won bronze medals in the U20 and U17 Commonweath Fencing Championships last year, while Abagael was the 2015 IAPS Fencing Champion.

The same weekend, multi-eventer, Seren Allin, won a silver medal at a British ranking Biathle at Millfield.  Seren took bronze in both this year's British Triathlon Championships and in the 2015 British Pentathlon Championships.

“I am delighted to see the girls bring home medals from these events,” said Director of Modern Pentathlon and Fencing, Andy Hill.  “These competitions bring together some of the top fencers and multi-eventers in the country so it was a great weekend all round.”
