Gemma Kerr, Year 11, competed in the Senior School International 2019 competition in Guernsey.
Gemma played the team event first, representing England team B in the U16 category. There were teams from England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man.
In the first group match Gemma and her partner Amy beat Guernsey 5-0.
In the second group match they beat Scotland A 4-1.
In the third group match they beat Wales 4-1.
They then played Ireland in the semi-final and won 3-0.
In the final they came up against England A team, they played well but lost 0-3.
Gemma and Amy were exceptionally pleased to come away with the silver medal.
On Sunday it was time for the individual competition. Gemma got through her group and reached the quarter finals where she met Anaya, England A team player. Unfortunately, Gemma lost and Anaya went on to win the event.
As a whole England did exceptionally well and took home a large selection of medals.
