Plymouth College sisters create and perform a moving tribute for NHS care workers.

Poppy and Sasha Satha, 15-year-old sisters who attend Plymouth College, wrote and recorded a song thanking NHS workers for their incredible efforts during the coronavirus pandemic.
Poppy and Sasha, who are currently continuing their Plymouth College studies at home, have used their evenings and weekends to write and record the moving tribute to key workers. The sisters initially released their song on Instagram, with a video of them singing and playing piano in their home and powerful pictures of NHS workers who are working so heroically every day.
Their band "-BROOD OFFICIAL-" have been playing together for years but knowing first-hand the extraordinary work done by the NHS, they felt took this as an opportunity to say thank you to all the amazing key workers. The family's gratitude to healthcare workers stems back to the birth of Poppy and Sasha who arrived prematurely and NHS staff worked tirelessly to support the family.
Sasha said: "The message we wanted to get across was just how much gratitude we have for the NHS workers who are fighting for us all every day. The main message is just how grateful we are as a nation."
Poppy and Sasha's mum, Vanessa, said she is incredibly proud of the pair and hopes that the video will be seen by health workers across the country, especially since they have witnessed the pressure they are under.
"One of the pictures in the music video is of our family friend, who just looks shattered, and you really see the toll it takes" she said. "We hope it’s a way to lift their spirits even on a small scale."
“We are really proud of our school for making the face visors for key workers and we wanted to show our support as well. We have been actually waiting for so long to say thank you to the staff that deserve it" said Sasha. “We're just so grateful and wanted to get that across with the song."
