For the last curricular round up of our first half term, we wanted to highlight some of our practical activities that have been taking place during lessons...
History
One of our Year 9 history classes had fun using maths and strategy when investigating how to attack a WWI trench with a budget of £3,700 and 80 soldiers.
Our Upper Sixth History class also commemorated Black History Month with an excellent assembly, a huge well done to them!
DT
In DT this week, our senior school pupils have had immersive and practical lessons, with Year 7 finishing their LED torches to our Year 9 pupils producing some excellent card modelling, focusing on making their chair models appropriately sized using anthropometric data they collected and our Lower Sixth developing their design techniques.
We also had some fab work from our Year 10 pupils learning about marker pen rendering and perfecting their 3D sketching skills!
Sport
It's also been great to see the start of the internal fixtures in our sports teams this week! Here are our Senior Boys playing in their football fixture this week!
