Plymouth College pupil and rising tennis star, Pierce Widdecombe, has won the Tennis Solutions Masters Open at David Lloyd Bristol. This is the 15-year old’s first open men's title.
To reach the final Pierce beat the UK Over 50 men's no.1 in the quarter-final and a top 20 U16 from London in the semi-final. The final was very close with Pierce eventually winning in a third set tiebreak.
The points from this event have put Pierce at no.20 in the UK for U16, no.83 for U18 and 194 in the men's ranking list.
