Plymouth College’s Poppy Tank has been on top form in the first three races of Frank Elford Sports Westward Cross Country League.
Having moved up from U17 to the Senior Women’s category this year, the Upper Sixth student started with a strong second place finish in the Plymouth event. In the second race in Newquay, Poppy won by nearly 30 seconds beating elite marathon runner, Emma Stepto.
Running for City of Plymouth AC, Poppy took third place in Exeter. After Christmas the league concludes with races in Westward Ho!, Stover and Redruth.
