Plymouth College athletes, Seren Allin (17) and Annabel Denton (12) will represent Great Britain this summer in the European Biathle and Triathle Championships in Portugal.
Seren gained her selection for the continuous run/swim/run Biathle team after taking the silver medal at a British Ranking competition. She also picked up a bronze medal in her age category in the British Modern Triathlon Championships. This will be Seren’s third outing for GB – she was a bronze medallist in the Biathle World Series in 2013 and qualified for the World Championships.
This is the second year in a row that Annabel has represented Great Britain – in 2015 she competed in the World Series Biathle in Italy and Portugal. This year sees her add shooting to the continuous event as she competes in the Triathle. Annabel was 4th in the recent British Modern Triathlon Championships.
“I am delighted to see the girls selected for the Great Britain team,” said Director of Modern Pentathlon and Fencing, Andy Hill. “They have both been training really hard and are in great form at the moment.”
