Plymouth College student Felicity Passon competed at the Swimming Championship of South Africa for 2017, on Monday 3rd April at Kings Park in Durban.
African swimmers from all over the world gathered for this competition to compete at the highest level on the continent. The competition is also a trial for most world events happening this summer; World Championships in Budapest 2017, Junior World Championships in Indiana USA and any other swimmers wishing to PB and test their level overall.
Felicity performed fantastically achieving a Gold Senior Medal in the 100 Fly with a time of 1.00.88, beating her previous record of 1.01.22; which also broke the national record.
That wasn’t to be her only medal or record-breaking time; Felicity went on to claim two Gold Elite Youth Medals, one Silver Elite Youth Medal and a total of four National Records!
