Congratulations to Emily Pascoe, Year 11, who competed at the weekend in the Devon County Shooting Championships held at Budleigh Farm in Moretonhampstead.
This was the first event of the new Shooting year for Emily in run up to the Welsh Open Championship in a couple of weeks in Cardiff and RIAC in Luxembourg in December.
Not only did Emily win the Under 21 age group in 10 meter precision Air Pistol, she was also crowned Devon Open Champion, which is an open competition for men and women competing in one class. In past years Emily has won the U21 class, but this is the first time she has posted the highest overall score of any athlete competing regardless of age or gender.
Emily is now on the GB Talent squad coached by Commonwealth Gold medallists Mr George Darling and Michael Gault OBE.
Emily also recorded a Personal Best score (in competition) in the process, which is a real testament to the hours of training that Emily has put in to achieve such an outstanding result.
We wish Emily the best of luck in her upcoming competition, where she will be competing as a senior for the first time in the first stage of the British Shooting Schools Championships.
