Plymouth College is delighted to have made it through to the finals of the 2019 Independent School of the Year Awards.
Shortlisted in the ‘School of the Year for International Student Experience’ and ‘Co-educational Independent School of the Year’ categories, Plymouth College will also be in with a chance of winning the overall ‘Independent School of the Year’ Award.
The Independent Schools of the Year 2019 is an awards scheme that has been designed by Independent School Parent magazine to recognise and celebrate the numerous innovative ways in which independent schools equip pupils with the skills they need for success throughout their lives. Schools are invited to showcase success stories and celebrate the bespoke student experiences they provide in their entries. Plymouth College demonstrated the wide variety of co-curricular activities available, the strong sense of community at the school and pupils’ impressive achievements both in and out of the classroom in its entries.
Hundreds of schools from across the country submitted entries to the awards that are judged by a panel of leading figures from across the sector, chaired by Dr Helen Wright, international education advisor and past Vice Chair of the ISC.
Such success is a real team effort, and we would like to extend a huge thank you to staff, parents and pupils who have made it possible for Plymouth College to be such an excellent school. Our pupils have been involved in what seems like an ever expanding range of opportunities and activities and will we continue on our mission to educate, enrich and empower our community.
The winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony on Monday 7th October at the Royal Thames Yacht Club- fingers crossed for Plymouth College!
