
The South West Triathlon Championships, held at Plymouth College, proved to be a great success for the school with its athletes winning a clutch of medals and national qualifications.
The run, swim, shoot competition welcomed 85 competitors from around the region. Fielding 25 athletes, Plymouth College won three gold medals, seven silver medals and five bronze medals. Eighteen of the 25 qualified for the national finals after coming in the top six in their age category and/or being part of a winning team.

Harry Preston - Youth C Boys

Plymouth College Director of Modern Pentathlon, Andy Hill, said: "I am delighted that we will be taking so many athletes to the national finals in Wolverhampton at the end of October. It was the first time we had hosted the event and the pressure was on but everything ran really smoothly."
