The Plymouth College Preparatory School Remembrance Service was held on 11th November in the school chapel.
The children, aged 4 to 11 years old, sang a song for peace and the readings covered most of the conflicts of the last century. The two minutes silence ended with the presentation of the wreaths at the foot of the Memorial Board to all the nurses and doctors from the Plymouth Royal Naval Hospital who gave their lives during the First World War (the school is based on the site of the former Royal Naval Hospital).
This year the Last Post was played by a Year 6 pupil, Thomas Douie, who rose to the occasion magnificently. It is normally played by a Senior School pupil.
Headmaster Chris Gatherer said: "The service was a most moving occasion and the children marked the occasion very respectfully".
