
Plymouth College Preparatory School pupil, Jocelyn Wannell, 11, has won a clutch of trophies at the Torbay and South West of England Music Festival.
The Year 6 musician scored 88 points and won the Gellender Cup playing Gillock's 'The Constant Bass' in the U13 own choice solo class. Jocelyn then went on to win the Audrey Wood Cup with 87 points for playing On Horseback by Gretchaninov from memory. The adjudicator commented that it was 'Good accentuation and a convincing performance'.
Jocelyn has been playing piano for about 5 years and has lessons with Mrs Brooks.
