The Plymouth College Preparatory School Remembrance Service was held in the school chapel on Friday.
The children, aged 3 to 11 years old, sang a song for peace and the readings covered the conflicts of the last century. The two minutes' silence ended with the presentation of the wreaths at the foot of the Memorial Board to all the nurses and doctors from the Plymouth Royal Naval Hospital who gave their lives during the First World War (the school is based on the site of the former Royal Naval Hospital).
This year the Last Post was played by Mayson Tam, a pupil from the Senior School.
Headmaster Chris Gatherer said: "The service was a most moving occasion and the children marked the occasion very respectfully".
