Plymouth College runner, Frankie Aldred, 14, has won the Junior Boys' race in the Devon Schools' Cross Country Championships. Held in Plymouth's Central Park, Frankie took the title in a time of 15.13.
In the Intermediate Girls' race, fellow pupils Emily Ackford and Poppy Tank took second and third place respectively. The bronze medal position for Poppy was a significant achievement having only returned to training just before the event after six weeks out with an injury. Talented multi-eventer, Kerenza Bryson, took 4th place in the Junior Girls' event.
The runners now turn their attentions to the South West Schools' Championships on Saturday in Avon with the English Schools' Championships in Derbyshire on March 16.
