Year 6 enjoyed a day at Thurlestone beach on a Geography and Art trip.
As part of their Geography studies, the pupils looked at the structure of the coast in detail. They discovered which rocks can stand up to the battering of the waves, which are crumbling away and what features are left behind.
In Art, the children had the opportunity to use water colours in the outdoors, sitting where Turner himself would have sat to paint Thurlestone rock.
