Emily takes Devon Cross Country crown

Plymouth College runner, Emily Ackford, has taken the intermediate girls' title in the Devon Schools Cross Country Championships. Conditions at the Big Sheep near Bideford were wet and muddy - a tough course but perfect for the event.

Ten other Plymouth College students competed in the county competition. Frankie Aldred had an impressive run for 2nd place in the intermediate boys. In the junior boys, Ed Smart gave a great performance with a brilliantly-paced run that saw him steadily move up from 10th place to 5th at the finish line. Poppy Tank was 5th in the intermediate girls making it four Plymouth College qualifications for the South West Championships next month.
