Dressed as kings, queens, noblemen and peasants, Year 4 spent the day finding out what it was like to live in Tudor times recently.
Spending the morning making pomanders out of oranges and cloves and drawing Tudor portraits, the children cooked pottage for their lunch. In the afternoon they learned some traditional Tudor dances, which they performed for parents just before the end of school. They also took it in turns to read stories about some famous people who lived in Tudor times such as Lady Jane Grey, Mary Queen of Scots, Elizabeth I and Henry VIII.
