Plymouth College staff took to the diving boards in their own version of ITV's Splash! to raise money for Sport Relief and the British Heart Foundation.
With GB divers and Plymouth College pupils, Francesca Del Celo, 17, and Victoria Vincent, 12, showing them how it's done, a group of brave volunteers performed their best tucks, bombs and somersaults. To add to the excitement of the occasion, real life Splash! judge and Plymouth Diving head coach, Andy Banks, was on hand to critique the dives.
"I thought it was a great way of raising money for charity," said Andy. "There were some very entertaining dives and it was all good fun."
PE teacher, Phil Mutlow, took the top spot with an impressive final dive (single somersault), narrowly beating deputy head, Sarah Dunn, into second place. German teacher, Fritz Mayerle, was third.
Other fund-raising activities during the day included a staff vs pupils football match, wearing something red and a sale of mouth-watering cakes ranging from cookies and brownies to cupcakes and gateaux.
A total of £1,268 was raised for Sport Relief and the British Heart Foundation.
