Year 8 welcomed the brilliant historians from Torrington 1646 to Plymouth College to learn about life in Stuart England.
Students were "treated" by the barber surgeon using implements more conducive to mending heavy machinery. Blood stained gowns hinted at the care to come as Year 8s had all their tooth, constipation and headache problems solved. They also faced Mistress Agnes who explained what people wore and how they washed. The pupils dressed up in breeches, petticoats and armour to help understand what it was like to live in Stuart times.
Finally, Year 8 faced the fear and torture represented by witchcraft - sharpened tools and more heavy metal were used to persuade students to admit their crimes. The day finished with a musket-firing demonstration on the field with the noise resounding around Ford Park.
