Two fencers from Plymouth College have won titles at the British Youth Fencing Championships. Tia Simms Lymn has won the U16 Epeé with Ben Andrews taking the top spot in the U14 Epeé. This is the fifth consecutive year that Tia has taken her age group title. Ben has finished in the top three since 2013.
Held over three days at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield, Josh Hellings and Kerenza Bryson both took bronze in the U16 and U18 Epeé respectively.
“We have a strong record in the youth championships and I am delighted to see our fencers do so well again,” said Director of Modern Pentathlon and Fencing, Andy Hill. “With these results our Modern Pentathlon and Fencing Academy has reached the landmark of 50 national champions.”
