Blue skies and perfect winds were the order of the day for the junior sailing team competition against Truro School. The Plymouth College team – Oli Aniyi, Euan McCready, Alexander Ratsey and Bertie Ratsey – won five out of seven races.
Racing in Plymouth Cattewater in Fevas and Picos, each race was fiercely contested and the young sailors competed with great team spirit and sportsmanship.
“It was a brilliant afternoon,” said teacher in charge of sailing, Sara Fisher. “We are looking forward to a re-match at St Mawes and hope that the senior team will be able to repeat this performance when we host Truro in June.
“Special thanks to Roger Irvine, Christian Taylor and Robert Thomas who helped the event run so smoothly and thanks to The Royal Western Yacht Club for providing the club and boats.”
