A fourth Plymouth College athlete has been selected to compete in the inaugural European Games in June.
Diver, Natasha MacManus, 17, will compete for Ireland in the 1m and 3m springboard events as well as the 10m platform. She will join Great Britain swimmers Joe Hulme, Tom Fannon and Laura Stephens at the event in Baku next month.
Late last year Natasha, from Dublin, won two golds and one silver medal at the Irish Diving Championships. A boarder at Plymouth College, she is part of the school’s high performance athlete community and trains with Plymouth Diving.
“I am delighted for Natasha,” said Plymouth College Deputy Head and Director of Sport, Sarah Dunn. “What a wonderful experience it will be to dive for her country at such a prestigious event. She has been working really hard and this is a fantastic reward.”
