Two Plymouth College athletes have won medals for Great Britain at the European Youth A Pentathlon Championships in Prague.
In the girls’ individual competition, Kerenza Bryson, 16, came 5th jointly winning the fence. With her two team-mates, sisters Georgina and Charlotte Summers, she secured a great team silver with 3001pts. Gold went to Russia with 3100 and Hungary secured bronze with 2979pts.
Myles Pillage, 17, came 13th in the boys’ individual event, winning his semi-final swim with a PB and securing first place in the swim in the final.
Kerenza and Myles teamed up in the mixed relay and took the bronze medal. In a closely-contested competition, Italy won gold with 1181pts, second was Belarus on 1175pts, GB third on 1173pts with Russia closing in fast in 4th on 1168pts.
Director of Modern Pentathlon and Fencing, Andy Hill, said: “This is a great result for Kerenza and Myles and will set them up for the World Championships in Argentina towards the end of the summer.”
