Plymouth College pupil, Sam Malcolm, will compete in the U13 South West Independent Schools' football team in the upcoming Regional Representative Festival.
The Year 8 pupil was selected for the team after completing two rounds of trials late last year. The team is made up of players from across the region which spans from Bristol to Bournemouth to Truro.
The boys have played two matches to date, comfortably beating Yeovil and District Schools just before Christmas and, more recently, suffering a narrow defeat by Exeter City Academy - not bad for a team that have only just started playing together!
The Festival is being held at Shrewsbury School 2-4 April and sees regional teams from throughout England competing against each other.
