Just over a month after taking gold for GB in an international pentathlon event, Plymouth College Head Boy, Myles Pillage, has taken the U19 British Modern Triathlon title.
Competing in the laser competition and with a score of 943, Myles won both the swim and the combined run/shoot events. Edward Clark came 10th.
In the U19 girls, Seren Allin took bronze with Georgina Mitchell and Lauren Singleton taking 13th and 18th positions respectively in the U17 girls. Annabel Denton was 8th in the U15 girls’ event.
In the pellet competition, Annabel Denton came 4th in the U15 girls with Emily Pascoe in 8th place. In the U13 girls, Sophie Watson took 5th place and Millie Andrews from the Prep School came 14th.
These results follow on from success in the South West Triathlon Championships, which saw Sophie take 3rd in her age group, Lauren and Annabel both finishing in 4th and Emily in 6th place. For the younger girls in particular, this was their first experience of this type of competition.
“Another great set of results from our multi-eventers,” said Director of Modern Pentathlon and Fencing, Andy Hill. “Most of our athletes set swimming PBs, which is great credit to their coach, Josh Lake.”
