After a restful half term break, our pupils at the senior school have had a fun week getting back into remote learning and with the recent Government announcement on Tuesday, it won’t be long until we’re back in the classroom and face-to-face learning with our peers. Nevertheless, the work produced by our pupils whilst online learning has been outstanding!
Tutor Time with Mrs Paice
Mrs Paice’s Year 7 tutor group have been busy getting themselves, parents and their siblings involved in creating wonderful soap carvings! We have seen snails, penguins, turtles and even elephants! These are all beautiful creations and well done to everyone that got involved!
Upper Sixth Sports Baccalaureate with Miss Tremaine
Our Upper Sixth Sports Baccalaureate pupils have been busy in their online lessons with Miss Tremaine working on their third assignment of treating sports injuries. They have been using either themselves, relatives or making dummies to practice their skills and techniques of treating head injuries, broken and sprained arms and have been learning about the recovery position.
Year 9 Design Technology
To make the most of the time that we have remote learning and before we're back to using all of the practical facilities of the classroom, our Year 9 pupils with Mrs Lisney have been perfecting their logo design skills for their Cycle for Plymouth brief that they received at the beginning of term.
Year 7 and 8 Art Club with Mrs Sullivan
Our young artists have been keeping busy not only this week, but throughout the term by trialling different creative methods to produce wonderful pieces of work. This has ranged from the greetings card designs that they have made based on what they believe represents Plymouth and Plymouth College, to artwork such as this, which has been created by year 8 pupil Alice!
