Following a productive rockpool ramble at Wembury beach, the Year One classes spent an exciting day at the National Marine Aquarium.
In the morning they toured the building with clipboards and pencils, studying and sketching an amazing variety of sealife of all shapes, sizes and colours. In the shark tank, the three sand tiger sharks, Enzo, Emily and Howardine, obligingly glided past an appreciative audience. The children enjoyed watching Snorkel the turtle and hearing about her life history.
The afternoon was spent making fantastic paper plate fish in the art room.
