Acting, verse speaking and bible reading are just some of the classes Plymouth College Preparatory School pupils competed in at this year's Plymouth Speech and Drama Festival. More than forty Prep pupils took part across the age groups.
In the 7 Years Solo Verse Speaking section, Katherine Treharne was runner up. Jessica Maxwell was runner up in the 8 Years class, while Lalit Kathiresan won the 9 Years section. Rebecca Eadie was runner up in the Novice Verse Speaking 10 Years and Under, with Lauren Hession and Ella Bean first and second place respectively in the 10 Years Solo Verse Speaking class.
Lauren's next first place came in the Under 12 Years Sight Reading class in which Arpitha Abraham was runner up. Lauren also won the Under 12 Years Bible Reading, Under 12 Years Prose Reading and 11 Years and Under Solo Acting! Isabella Charlesworth and Preet Pradeep were joint runners up in the Under 12 Years Bible Reading class.
All the children who took part had their certificates presented by Headmaster, Chris Gatherer, in Assembly.
