Leeds United and former Plymouth Argyle Manager, Neil Warnock, was the special guest at Plymouth College's Senior Awards Evening, held at Plymouth Guildhall. The independent school's annual prize-giving event recognises and celebrates the academic and extra-curricular achievements of senior pupils.
Neil presented the prizes and gave an inspiring talk to the gathered audience of current sixth form, 2012 leavers, staff, families and friends about making the most of opportunities and never giving up. The evening also included musical interludes by former pupil Sophie Brown and current pupil Keith Wong, as well as an entertaining excerpt from this term's production Much Ado About Nothing.
"Many congratulations to all our prize-winners", said Headmaster, Dr Simon Wormleighton. "The Senior Awards Evening allows us to celebrate our achievers from last year, including academic scholars, sportsmen and women and musicians to name but a few. We were delighted that Neil was able to join us to present the prizes, and give such an engaging speech."
