Plymouth College Preparatory School's swimming team put in an outstanding performance winning 14 out of 24 races at the regional IAPS gala in Truro.
Competing against prep schools in the region, the U11 boys' medley relay team - Ben Miller, Nicholas Sawyer, Ollie Smart and Thomas Haddock - did particularly well winning the 4 x 25m in 1.17.48. Good individual performances came from Ollie Smart who won the 25m Fly in 16.75, Duru Tanir who came first in the 50m Breaststroke in 39.33 and Ben Miller who took the top spot in the 50m Backstroke in 39.36.
Last year these times were good enough to qualify for the national final, held in May at K2 in Crawley, but the young swimmers will have to wait until March to find out who is going this year.
