Saturday saw another successful weekend on the cricket field with games split evenly between Plymouth College and Truro School.
The U12s were indebted to Joe Taylor with 3-7 and with all gaining valuable experience, the squad will be better for the game I'm sure. In the U13s, Adam Talbott played with great maturity and intelligence for 49 to give the team a chance of chasing down the 172 target; unfortunately several quick wickets meant that the boys ended 30 short.
The U14s had a comprehensive victory with Will Martin recording the first 5 wicket haul of his cricketing career and Tom Cosby scoring a confidence-boosting 40 - excellent reward for both players who work hard year round at their game. The performance of the day was without doubt in the U15s who despite only having 10 players, overcame Truro with Michael Cooper continuing his good form with the bat ably supported by Tom Taylor with a quickfire 40. A tremendous team effort rounded off a successful day for the college.
