The children at Plymouth College Preparatory School have produced a fantastic set of LAMDA results. With 100% pass rate, there were 65 distinctions out of 73 entries.
Children from Year 1 to Year 6 took part in categories that included: group poetry speaking with drama games, solo poetry speaking from memory with a discussion about a book or picture, solo verse speaking two contrasting poems from memory, acting duologue and solo acting.
The children were presented with their certificates in a special assembly by Plymouth College Preparatory School Headmaster, Chris Gatherer.
“Congratulations to all the children involved,” said Mr Gatherer. “The results were excellent with many children awarded 90 marks or above, which is exceptional. Special thanks to Mrs Pick, our speech and drama teacher, for all her work with the children.”
