Plymouth College sixth former, Harry Preston, 18, will be competing for Great Britain in the European Triathlon Championships in Geneva on Sunday.
Taking part in the U20 Age Group Standard competition, the talented athlete will be up against the best in Europe. The event involves a 1500m swim in Lake Geneva, followed by a 40km cycle and 10km run.
Harry has recently secured his position in the 2016 event in Lisbon as well, after taking the silver medal in the U20 category of the Standard Distance English Championships, Deva Triathlon in Chester.
Also competing overseas this weekend are Myles Pillage (GB), Kerenza Bryson (GB and Eimear O’Neill (Ireland) in the European Youth A Pentathlon Championships in Prague. Tia Simms Lymn is also in action competing for Jamaica in the U17 and U20 Commonwealth Fencing Championships in South Africa – she is taking part in both age groups in the Epée and the Foil.
