Year 7 celebrated World Book Day with a picnic in the library. As part of the event the students made masks of their favourite book characters, which ranged from Hedwig, Dobby and Harry Potter; to Captain America, Snow White and Hairy Maclary.
Year 7 have also been taking part in a Readathon, to raise money for ReadWell, a charity that provides books and storytellers to children in hospitals; CLIC Sargent, which provides vital support to children and young people with cancer and their families; and Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, which helps seriously ill and disabled children.
