The Plymouth College Gala Concert filled the Meade-King Hall with music, laughter and applause. The evening began with a drinks reception, where parents, pupils and staff gathered together to the sound of beautiful piano music played by Thorr Marner.
The concert began with performances on piano, guitar and flute, followed by ‘Radetsky March’ and ‘Carnival of the Animals’ by the Orchestra. A particularly notable piece, and indeed a highlight of the evening, was ‘Sandpaper Ballet’ featuring a debut performance from Headmaster, Jonathan Cohen.
To finish on a high, Plymouth College choirs, staff and the Orchestra came together to perform. Many thanks to Mrs Adlington and Mrs Lambie for the Front of House arrangements and to the Music department staff for such a wonderful evening, displaying the musical excellence of Plymouth College staff and pupils.
