Plymouth College Preparatory School pupil, Joanna Sells, has won a place as a violinist in the U11 National Children’s Orchestra. Joanna was selected after attending an audition where she had to play two pieces and do sight reading.
She will now attend a week-long camp in the summer, culminating in a big concert. This is the second year running the talented musician, who also plays the piano and the trumpet, has made the national orchestra.
Joanna is a member of Plymkids and is in both the school orchestra and choir. She has appeared as the young Fiona in Shrek at the Theatre Royal and was in Joseph as part of the children’s choir.
“I am very pleased to have been chosen for the National Children's Orchestra again,” said Joanna. “It is a great experience and I really enjoy performing.”
