Children from reception through to Year 6 took to the water with a series of swimming galas.
Held in the Senior School's 25m pool, the Prep School galas took place over a series of days. Every child got to take part whether they swam a width of the pool using a float or a full length of front crawl.
The infants had a lot of fun and each of their galas ended with class relays. The Year 3s and 4s had an exciting gala with all pupils contributing to their house scores. This was the tightest gala for many years with the lead changing with every race. At the end only 4 points separated the teams.
In the Years 5 and 6 gala Lauren Hession, who has just represented the school in the IAPS National Swimming Finals in Crawley, broke the 50m freestyle record with a time of 30.25s. She was also part of the freestyle team that broke the 4 x 25m record in 1.11.79s. The other members of the team were Sean Rump, Luka Zickert and Robin de Jager.
